Folks,
I have a full size wildernest and the glass from the hatch door is broken. I would like to replace it. Called a few glass shops and it sounds like $100 to have plexiglass put it, then another $100 on top of that for autoglass to be installed. Does anyone know the manufacture for the shell? any other options I'm not thinking of?
Thanks,

Gideon no longer exists. I replaced mine many years ago and I got it from a company in Colorado that supplied WilderNest with the rear window with frame and hinge. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of that company. If I find the name of the company, I will post it.
I discovered it would be a big job to replace the entire hinge so I disassembled the hinges by pulling the wire out of them. The new hinge lined up with the old hinge on the shell very well. I just reinserted the hinge wire and distorted the ends a little so it would not work it way out. It has been working well since.

how did you remove the pin out without breaking the hinge pin or hinge?

The hinge pin is deformed on the ends to keep it from sliding out. I don't remember exactly how I did it but I cleaned up the deformed area on one end so it would clear the hinge hole. From there it was fairly easy to slide the pin out while keeping the weight off of the window/frame assembly.

Did anyone ever come up with the name of the company that made the rear hatch? Mine is in pretty bad shape and I'm hoping to replace it.

I am looking to replace the same hinge on mine. I ripped mine all out hoping to replace with a piano hinge, but it just does not work.
