Hey all! I recently got myself a Wildernest with a few issues to be repaired. I've already sought out help to replace the gate/door so the camper will fit my 2019 Tacoma. But I want to do more work on my own. Main issues to fix would be cracks in the fiberglass, replacing latches and sealer(?) that surrounds the bottom of the top(?). The tent has some tears in a few of the corners from previous owners not being careful when opening it, it also has some mold stains. Haven't decided if I want to replace the tent or not. One step at a time haha. If there's anyone out there who has some tips and tricks for a beginner like myself, Id love some help!

I would recommend replacing the tent as you will not be able to get the mold and mildew stains out. Because of the polyurethane coating on the inside of the tent fabric, you will not be able to thoroughly clean the fabric enough to satisfy you. The cracks in the fiberglass depending upon how bad they are will need to be ground out then re fiberglassed again. The latches are easy to replace. The bulb seal you can find doing a Google search for snap on bulb seals. There are a few companies that provide similar products that will work. Hope this is of some help.

I replaced the bulb seal and edge trim and found out later they make the edge trim and bulb seal in one piece. I think that would work better. The adhesive on the bulb seal eventually fails. I think the combination of the mechanical grip of the edge seal and the adhesive of the bulb seal would last longer.

Any suggestions for the bulb seal? I found it once on this forum but can’t find it again. Also I’m looking for some new lift supports for the window/door? I’ve found some on Amazon but they look like they are just snap on and don’t come with the attachment to the frame of the shell.

Starting my restoration as well. Please post links/pictures to new replacement parts and I'll do the same. I'm currently looking for tent replacement local to CA, but not opposed to shipping it out. I know of two out of CA: canvasreplacements.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Wildernest+&x=0&y=0www.rvworkshop.com/wildernestCalled Both places. RV workshop uses sunbrella material (described it as something similar to a boat cover) for their replacement. Canvas replacements said they use something similar to original. I'll have to inquire further.
