Hello, I'm looking to track down some gas springs that hold up my tip top wildernest. For those who don't know, the tip tip makes a wedge like tent similar to a volkwagon camper. The sticker on the gas spring reads AVM Distributed by Austin Hardware Inc. AHP10100 0712. I contacted Austin Hardware but they're expensive and I just want to make sure I get the right parts Thank you, Mike

So after a bunch of nonsense like ordering wrong parts based off similar part numbers, running around to RV part stores and paying outrageous shipping fees . I finally found some gas springs that worked from Napa. I went with the turbolift 819-6533. They're one inch shorter and 85 lbs apposed to the original 100 lbs but they work perfectly. The people at Napa were awesome and they only cost $20 each. Hopefully, this will help anyone with the same problem because there's not much info out there. Good luck and happy camping!

Hi Mike,
I doubt you are on this forum anymore, but I wanted to reach out to you just in case. I am considering trying to convert my regular Wilderness to a Tip Top. I was hoping I might be able to bend your ear for some info about the setup of the Tip Top...

Hey Rich, sorry I missed this and maybe you are no longer on this forum. I remembered I posted this years ago to hopefully help someone. I'm back here years later doing that now. It looks like you have a cool project! Sorry I wasn't around to help. I sold my Tip Top last year but my instagram is still Wildernesttoy. If you or anyone else on this have questions about the tip top that's the best place to reach me.
