Hi sorry posted on the wrong part of the site. just bought a nest love it used seam sealer on all of the seams looks to be very water tight im gonna be calling my nesthome this winter in northern california chasing steel head and was wondering if any one had used the silicone spray on rewaterproofing agents? There alot avaliable and one is an aroesol type any input would be great. Secondly i was wondering if any one knew if people out here make new tents? Ive built a ton of campin tents in the past and may take on the project if i need to in the future. light more techy type materials of course.

I have done so. it took 4 cans and seemed to hold up OK- but that was out here in dry colorado. i did not see any real holdover through the off-season (winter). the following spring i needed to reapply. i suggest looking into a more durable application (like aqua seal). i will be MUCH more time consuming and expensive, but the results will be far superior- esp if you will be fishing the great northwet.
