You started this thread on March 8, 2011, at 5:05pm.

Then on March 14, 2011, at 5:18pm you stated, "We are collecting as many responses as we can by the end of the month."

Well March ended almost 4 months ago!

So are you going to start making the campers or not? With an additional 4 months of input from your survey you should have enough info to make your decision!

If your not going to make them you should say so in this and other threads and take the survey down!

I saw a wildnest camper today in Bevmo parking lot the lady would not sell it . i was so bumbed. I have been looking at these for 2 years i am new to the wildernest camper shell but have wanted a roof top tent for about 10 years i hate sleeping on the ground. I am currnetly building a budget Expedition vehicle setup. i have an off road trailer with a '90 toyota truck bed on it with a raised camper shell. it works very well but i need to sleep two more would love to have a wildernest to do it. i just picked up a '94 4runner in great shap and that will be my tow rig to get me to where ever i want to overland. Good luck with bringing it back if you need a test rig or if i can help in any way let me know.

also. It would make a LOT more sense to have it flip over the cab and hood, rather than off to the side of the vehicle

Build it and they will sell. I have a wildernest I bought 5 hrs ago on my 04 Tacoma, I get questions all the time on it from Baja to Alaska. I rebuilt it, added handyman doors and did fiberglass work to fit them, raised it an inch all around to better fit the tacoma roof line, repainted it to match my silver taco and people are constantly impressed and want one. Opening to the side is better, you don't have to climb over all your gear to sleep and have a covered area below to put gear/sit out of the rain. I want a new tent for it otherwise it is excellent. I WOULD BUY ANOTHER IN A HEARTBEAT! If you want a forward opening tent, get a flip pac but the less boxy lower profile of the wildernest is better. Good luck and make it happen.

Wildernests? When? I owned one. I'd purchased one for my 8' Ford bed and sold it with the Ford. The Ford died so the Wilderness and Ford was sold back in 2002. I didn't
expect Wilderness to go out of business due to the owners health issues. I'm still waiting for the upgraded new product. I sincerely hope I see it again before I die.
