I have an '05 Tacoma crewcab with a shortbed. Does a Wildernest exist that you know of that will fit a shortbed truck? If so what would be good descriptors for said Wildernest. Thanks for your help.

hi i would love that you share with me any info that you have. i got my wildernest this summer, and very much like the idea of it all but today just found out about your site from a caller responding to my for sale ad.!!! bless his heart, the unit is no longer for sale !!! i got the nest with the thought like many of you that it goes anywhere my truck can. being a woman and only 5' 3" AT THAT opening is not so bad , but by myself i am finding it hard to to put back down. again any help or info will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. jtheb

I am very curious if the person who found that matching bulb seal from uni-grip.com fitted it and how it is performing. I am looking to replace mine as well and judging by the sound of past posts, getting the right fit is key. Also, anyone have luck with replacement latches for the exterior? How about a distributor for stainless ball bearing hinges? I had a similar problem with the waterproofing of mine in a Yosemite thunderstorm. The gentleman who suggested a tent fly is dead on. Replacing the actual fabric is uncecessary if your only requirement is repelling rain. Here is a VERY good tent / outdoor material maker who can custom build you a fly if you email him the specs: www.humannaturegear.comHe is based in Nevada City, Ca Good luck and please keep on sharing the info and web links to keep our Wildernests flying. Cheers Jon
